Spofforth and Follifoot schools raise money for children in Malawi Two Harrogate district primary schools have teamed up to fundraise for vulnerable children in Malawi. Pupils from Spofforth and Follifoot C of E primary schools raised £490 through a series of fundraising events, including an ice pop sale, a movie night and a summer fair. The students, led by their school councillors, generated vital funds for Harrogate-based charity, Open Arms Malawi. Olivia Stewart and Rosie Dyche from Spofforth School Council said:
“Every class came to the fair and had so much fun! "Everyone enjoyed the lucky dip and we had some world class hula hoopers in our school.”Open Arms Malawi, based at Community House in Harrogate, provides essential support to vulnerable children and families in Malawi.
