Rudding Park in Harrogate is celebrating having won Best Short Course at the Golf Course Awards held at Emirates Stadium in London.
Hosted by Nick Dougherty, Sky Sports Broadcaster, the Golf Course Awards recognise innovation, inclusivity and sustainability, design, condition and aesthetics.
Rudding Park beat off stiff competition from The Copse at Golf at Goodwood, Kingennie Golf Course and the Par 3 Course at Cowdray to take home the trophy for its Repton Par 3 Six Hole Short Course.

Marc Rice, Head of Golf at Rudding Park said:
“We are thrilled to have won this prestigious national award for Best Golf Short Course.
“Our six hole par 3 Repton Short Course is a brilliant experience with wide appeal; from those wanting to take their first steps ‘on course’ - supporting our goals to increase inclusivity and accessibility - to regular golfers who want to fine tune their short game.”
The course also features a replica of the world-famous 17th at Sawgrass, Florida.
Playing the same yardage (137 yards) the tee shot which plays to an island green and puts emphasis on club selection.
The test and thrill comes as many of the holes feature water hazards.
