Ripon drag show to raise money ahead of St Wilfrid's Procession A comedy drag show is set to fundraise for this year’s St Wilfrid’s Procession. The procession returns to Ripon on Saturday 3rd August - an event that sees brightly decorated lorries parade the streets to mark the feast of St Wilfrid. And ahead of this year’s event, the St Wilfrid’s Committee is organising a comedy drag show to raise funds. The show, aimed at audiences over 18, will feature the award-winning Dreamgirls who have enjoyed a long career entertaining all over Europe. It will be held at Ripon Bowling Club on Saturday 11th May from 7.30pm-12pm. Speaking on behalf of St Wilfrid’s committee, Emily Britton said:
“We’ve invited one of the UK’s favourite comedy drag double acts to take to the cabaret stage at Ripon bowling club! “With their outrageous and forked tongued humour, it’s a laugh out loud show, featuring live vocals and unlimited colourful campery! “We guarantee a fabulous night of laughter and dancing.”Tickets are £15 each (plus ticket fees) and can be booked online here.
