The Mayor of Harrogate has formally opened a show home on a new housing development in the town.

Housebuilder Persimmon has thrown the doors open to prospective homebuyers at their Long Lands View development situated a mile from Harrogate town centre.

Councillor Chris Aldred was invited in his role as Mayor to formally cut the ribbon on the new show home, accompanied by Harrogate Town Councillor Josie Caven.

A range of 2, 3 and 4-bedroom semi-detached and detached homes are on offer, ideal for both first-time buyers and families alike.

The development is located to north east of Harrogate town centre, within a 15 minute walk of both the Harrogate Stray and Starbeck rail station.

Mayor of Harrogate, Councillor Chirs Aldred said:

“I was delighted to be asked to open the new show home at Long Lands View alongside my Town Council colleague, Councillor Caven.

“Harrogate has always been a popular location for people to move to and these homes will appeal to growing families who wish to take the next step in the ladder, as well as providing a substantial number of “affordable” homes too.”

Christopher Hull, Managing Director of Persimmon West Yorkshire, said:

“We’re delighted to launch our Long Lands View show home, giving homebuyers the chance to see what the development will have to offer.

“It was a pleasure to welcome Mayor Aldred and Councillor Caven to show them round the show home and see how the site is progressing.

“We’ve already sold the first few homes and we’re sure that with both the wide range of properties on offer and its excellent location, the development will prove extremely popular with local homebuyers.”
