Police are appealing for information about an assault that occurred in Harrogate last week.
It happened between 11.30pm and midnight on Friday 5th December on Avenue Grove, and involved an altercation between a man and woman.
The female victim was hit 'multiple times in the head' by the male suspect, according to police.
A man has been arrested in connection with this incident, and released on bail as enquiries continue.
A police spokesperson said:
