Knaresborough will roll out the red carpet for the premiere of a new Christmas film next month, partly shot in the town and across North Yorkshire.
Several local pubs will host the first public screenings on Friday 5th December, giving residents the chance to see familiar streets on screen.
The event will begin at 8pm across four participating venues – The Hart, The George & Dragon, The Orange Grove, and 1858 – with free food available on a first-come, first-served basis.
It is being organised by Knaresborough Chamber, the North Yorkshire Mayoral Highstreet Foundation, and Knaresborough Eventure.
Tinsel Town stars Kiefer Sutherland and Rebel Wilson in a heartwarming festive story about an unlikely friendship that rekindles hope and community spirit in a small northern town preparing for Christmas.
Filming took place earlier this year in Knaresborough, with key scenes shot along the High Street, the riverside and Castle grounds, as well as in Wetherby.
The film will be released in UK cinemas and on streaming platforms from 6th December.
Organisers say additional local screening locations may be announced in the coming weeks.
