Harrogate's Turkish Baths has been named Day Spa of the Year at the 14th English Hair & Beauty Awards 2026 (North Edition).
The accolade recognises the service and relaxation experience offered at the Victorian facility, which has been welcoming visitors since 1897.
Turkish Baths Harrogate is one of only seven remaining Victorian Turkish baths in the UK and is widely regarded as Britain’s most fully restored example still operating as originally intended.

The baths follow the traditional ritual of heating, cooling and cleansing that became popular in the 19th century, alongside modern spa treatments.
Katie Summersall, Spa General Manager, said:
“This win is a testament to our highly qualified team who work tirelessly to maintain a haven of tranquillity for our guests.
“Beyond the building's elaborate decoration and rarity, it is the commitment to profound relaxation and wellbeing that has earned the Baths this top honour.”
Visitors can experience the traditional Turkish Baths journey, which typically lasts between 90 minutes and two hours, or choose from a range of spa treatments.
