Harrogate para powerlifter Lottie McGuinness will represent Great Britain at the European Championships this weekend.
The 23-year-old will compete on Sunday (8th March) at the competition in Tbilisi, Georgia, with her event scheduled to begin at 10:45am.
Lottie has emerged as one of Britain’s leading para powerlifting athletes in recent years.
She began her sporting career in 2019 after being identified as a promising talent at the National Dwarf Games.
Since taking up the sport, she has gone on to compete at major international competitions for Great Britain.
In 2024, Lottie represented Team GB at the Paralympic Games in Paris, where she finished fourth in the women’s up to 61kg category with a best lift of 105kg.
Her progress has continued in the seasons since, including breaking the British record in the under-61kg category with a lift of 110kg at an international invitational event.
The European Championships run from 6th to 11th March and bring together top para powerlifters from across the continent.
