A Harrogate woman has completed three marathons in just four weeks as part of various fundraising campaigns.
Sonja Bancroft completed Manchester Marathon on 14th April before tackling Belfast Marathon on 5th May and Leeds Marathon on Sunday (12th May).
Sonja has helped support fundraising campaigns for Millie Wright Children’s Charity, Wave Trauma Centre and Leeds Mind.
After taking on Manchester Marathon solo, she was joined by her husband Richard and friend Siobhan Pywell in Belfast, before joining another friend, Lou Potts, in Leeds.
Speaking on social media, Sonja said:
“Thank you so so much to everyone who sponsored and supported us. We are all so grateful!”

Sonja works for Bettys and has been supporting the tearoom’s chosen charity of the year - Millie Wright Children’s Charity.
The charity provides practical, financial and emotional support to patients and their wider families.
And Bettys Bakery and Cookery School has decided to raise £1,000 throughout the year.
A Bettys spokesperson said:
“This charity is very close to Sandro Sotirchos from the Customer Support Team and his family, following the short but incredible life of their beautiful baby boy, Raphael, who died in March 2023 at the age of just 6 weeks.
“Thank you for all your support.”
