Harrogate Town has revealed plans to build a new £2.75m training facility at Wetherby Racecourse.
The proposed development includes a single storey clubhouse, a grass pitch, an artificial pitch and associated parking and landscaping.
The club said it has been searching for a suitable site to develop a new training facility for five years, after the men’s senior team was promoted to the English Football League (EFL) in 2020.
Supporters and stakeholders are invited to have their say at a public consultation at Wetherby Town Hall from 5pm-8pm on 17th July.
In a letter to fans, CEO Sarah Barry said:
“The Club’s teams and Player Development Centres currently use various training facilities across the region.
“A new facility is required to meet the needs of their men’s and women’s teams, the Player Development Centres and the club’s community foundation activities.
“It is envisaged that the new facility will also be used by the wider community including local schools and sports clubs.”
Following the consultation event and a review of the feedback received, a planning application will be submitted to Leeds City Council.
Supporters can have their say via the consultation website here, which will become active on the 17th July.
