Harrogate Theatre Choir has raised £400 for charity following a sell-out performance in Wetherby.
The choir's concert at Wetherby Town Hall drew a full audience and fundraised in aid of Martin House Children’s Hospice.
The afternoon performance featured a selection of songs from well-known West End musicals, including Sweeney Todd, Phantom of the Opera and Wicked.
The concert concluded with a tribute to the 40th anniversary of Les Misérables, which received an enthusiastic response from the audience.
The event marked the end of the choir’s 15th anniversary year, during which they have supported a local charity at each of their concerts.
The £400 donation was presented to Rebecca Taylor, Regional Fundraiser at Martin House Children’s Hospice.
A spokesperson for Harrogate Theatre Choir said:
"A heartfelt thank you goes out to everyone who bought tickets, and who contributed so generously for their interval tea and home-made cakes!"
Looking ahead, Harrogate Theatre Choir will host their annual festive concert, It’s THE Christmas Concert, on Saturday 13th December.
