A Harrogate business is set to launch a podcast series to champion the local area.
Jamie Winspear of Oak by Design will be chatting to local businesses and community figures about their work across York, Leeds and Harrogate.
The new podcast will be titled 'The Best of Yorkshire' and is set to launch on the Your Harrogate website on Monday (1st July).
Topics for upcoming episodes include Rudding Park’s charity efforts, Harrogate Town AFC’s work with schools, Leeds Rhinos raising money for MND and the charity work at the various venues operated by Provenance Inns.
Jamie said:
“I feel it's important to make people aware of how great the businesses in our community are, not only with what they provide or supply to their customers but also to showcase what they are doing to give back to the community.”
There will be 11 episodes in total, released every Monday.
Jamie will host the podcast and will be joined by a different guest for each episode.
And the first guest will be “Big Ian” Donaghy - a writer, musician, public speaker and film-maker based in York.
Jamie added:
“All the people on the podcast help the community in some-way and I feel it should be championed.
“Oak by Design are a company who try to help and support charities and events as much as they can and we are proud of what we have helped to achieve and also proud to help charities that do so much for the community.”
All episodes will be available via the 'Podcasts' section of the Your Harrogate website here.
