Families are being invited to celebrate the end of summer with a free day of entertainment in Harrogate's Valley Gardens.
Harrogate Town Council's End of Summer Party will take place at the bandstand on Friday 4th September from 11am until 4pm.
The free event will feature character appearances, a mini disco, magic show, balloon modelling, face painting, music and dancing.
Rascals Entertainment will deliver the family-focused entertainment throughout the day.
Your Harrogate will also be supporting the event, with presenter Pete Egerton officially opening proceedings at the bandstand at 11am and giving away merchandise to visitors.
Harrogate Town AFC will also be in attendance alongside mascot Harry Gator, while youngsters will be able to try the club's Fast Feet football game for free.
Paul Forster, Events and Culture Lead at Harrogate Town Council, said:
“We are delighted to be bringing our first free family event to Valley Gardens and giving residents and visitors the opportunity to come together and enjoy a day of fun and entertainment.
“Providing accessible, free-to-attend events is a key part of the Council's commitment to supporting community wellbeing, bringing people together and creating memorable experiences for all ages.
“This End of Summer Party is just one of a number of free events we will be delivering throughout the year, and we have some exciting plans for the future as we continue to develop a diverse and inclusive programme of events for Harrogate.”
The End of Summer Party forms part of Harrogate Town Council's growing programme of community events, with more free family, cultural and community-focused activities planned throughout the year.
