This weekend sees the return of Comic Con Yorkshire to Harrogate - and we've got the answer to all of your questions right here!
Comic Con Yorkshire is part of the Monopoly Events family of pop culture conventions, attracting thousands of fans annually.
Last year, Comic Con Yorkshire hosted the likes of John Cleese, James Marsters, Danny Glover and Gabriel Luna.
Outside of the celebs, you can get your picture taken with some of our unique props and set builds; watch the fabulous cosplayers strut their stuff on stage and test your skills in the retro and modern gaming areas.
You can also browse through the unique gifts in our trader and artist areas with a large show floor.
But before going along, check out our handy Comic Con Yorkshire guide below...
When and where?
The event will once again be hosted at the Yorkshire Event Centre in Harrogate.
It's taking place on Saturday 22nd and Sunday 23rd June between 9am-6pm.

Visitors

There are no cash machines on site so it is advised you bring cash along with you.
Food and drink will be on offer all around the venue.

Cosplay Competition
This year the event will be hosting a cosplay competition for those looking to dress up as their favourite characters.
Rules include:
- Entrants must be aged 14 or over to compete.
- If you enter as a group you cannot also enter as an individual.
- No smoke, confetti, or fire is permitted on stage under any circumstances.
- The judging panel's decision is always final.
To enter, sign-ups are available online or in person at the cosplay station throughout the weekend.

Can I get a photo/autograph?
Visitors are able to grab a photo or autograph from the celebrity guests for a small fee.
These will be available at specific times (see online for more details).
Should a guest cancellation occur, Comic Con will endeavour to make the public aware on their social platforms and refund any autograph or photograph tickets as soon as possible.
Rules around photographs and autographs include:
- Prices vary per guest
- All signings take place at the guest tables.
- Most guests are happy to have a selfie taken with you at their table, however this is entirely at their discretion.
- If selfies are available, you can pay at the table by card or with cash, and the price will be noted on an info sheet at the front of their queues.

Tickets
Tickets are available to buy online ahead of the event - and it's recommended to print off your ticket before arriving to speed up entry.
If you don’t have access to a printer, they can scan your unique barcode from your phone or tablet instead.
Organisers have asked visitors to download the QR/barcode beforehand rather than relying on the internet at the venue to access your tickets.
Tickets can be purchased at the door on the day if the event is not sold out.
Infant tickets (0-4 years old) are free of charge, however, you do still need to ‘purchase’ a ticket for our capacity records.
Children aged 5-9 years of age, will require a regular paid child's ticket.
All children under the age of 16 must be accompanied by a paying adult.
