Details have been revealed for Ripon's annual Christmas light switch-on event, organised by Ripon City Council.
The free event will return to Market Square on Saturday 15th November 2025 and is scheduled to run across the afternoon.
Families are invited to enjoy fairground rides, a climbing wall and appearances by Santa and his reindeer from 1pm.
Live entertainment is due between 3pm and 6pm, with the lights set to be switched on at 5pm.
Andrew Williams of Ripon City Council said:
"We’re inviting everyone — near and far — to make it magical this Christmas and make it Ripon.
"This event is a fantastic opportunity to explore our city, support local shops and hospitality venues, and enjoy a festive day out."
Visitors are encouraged to explore the city’s independent shops, cafés and heritage sites which will all be taking part in the seasonal atmosphere.
The event is seen by the council as an opportunity to support local businesses as well as enjoy a festive day out.
Organisers say the event offers “free festive fun for the whole family” and welcome all ages to join in the celebration.
