Date revealed for return of Harrogate lego trail

The popular Lego Trail will return to Harrogate next month.

The date for the return of the popular Harrogate Lego Trail has been set, with a series of stunning lego displays set to appear around the town centre.

The trail, fully funded by Harrogate Business Improvement District (BID), attracts tens of thousands of people every year.

It’s estimated more than 50,000 participants completed the fairy tale-themed route in 2024.

This year’s theme will see ‘Safari Animals’ take over the town centre, with different local organisations preparing to host an exhibit for a number of weeks starting on the launch date on Friday 1st August.

Bethany Allen, Operations and Projects Executive at Harrogate BID, said:

“The Lego Trail is one of, if not the most popular event we organise and deliver every year.

“We always receive such fantastic feedback and it’s become a definite staple of our event calendar.

“It’s an excellent way to drive both footfall and spend into our town’s business community and we can’t wait to bring it back with a brand new theme!

“Watch this space for announcements on the locations of each of the models…”

The BID is working alongside the Fairy Bricks charity to bring the Lego Trail to life in Harrogate.

In total, the team use more than 500,000 lego bricks to build the models.

Since forming through a single hospital donation back in 2012, Fairy Bricks has grown to deliver Lego to more than 200 hospitals in the UK and 26 other countries on an annual basis.

Bethany added:

“As the BID in Harrogate, we are keen to bring this fantastic work that Fairy Bricks do to light.

"We’re always looking to work in collaboration where we can as we know it always helps towards bringing top results.”
