Popular Christmas party brand 'YurtBar' is moving to Harewood House this winter.
Founded by Ripon entrepreneur Tom Sterne, YurtBar has become a destination for festive celebrations in Yorkshire, offering alpine-style parties in a yurt setting.
The moves comes after eight seasons at Moor Allerton Golf Club.
At Harewood House, YurtBar will create an alpine village featuring ski racks, fur throws, a log fire and a ten-foot Christmas tree.
The venue accommodates up to 345 guests, with different areas named after Alpine resorts such as Verbier, Méribel, and Chamonix available for smaller gatherings or full takeovers.

The YurtBar will open on 5th December and run for nine nights, with exclusive bookings possible on additional dates.
Guests can expect a range of drinks including mulled wine, beer, cocktails, and Aperol Spritz, alongside a three-course alpine feast prepared by Yorkshire caterer The Hog and Apple Food Co.
Entertainment will include a live DJ, music, two themed bars, and a VIP 360 photobooth with falling snow effects. Each event is staffed by a seasonal team of 30.
Tom Sterne, Managing Director of YurtBar, said:
“We’re really excited to bring the ultimate Christmas party to the majestic grounds and grandeur of Harewood House.
“It’s an upgrade after eight years at Moor Allerton Golf Club and promises to be a fantastic year.”
Sterne also runs Yurtshire, a luxury glamping retreat with tree yurts, wellness facilities, and meadow yurts near Fountains Abbey, and Yorkshire Yurts, which provides yurts for weddings and events across the region.
Last year, YurtBar welcomed over 5,500 guests at its Leeds and Manchester venues, and the brand has grown steadily with plans to expand to Sheffield, Newcastle, and beyond.
Natalie Holmes, Head of Commercial and Visitor Experience at the Harewood House Trust, said:
“We’re always looking to build new partnerships with local businesses, and YurtBar is a perfect fit.
“They bring a stylish, decadent and memorable Christmas party experience for visitors, which complements Harewood’s reputation for festive installations and heritage splendour.
“We’re excited to be working with them this winter.”
