A local youth football team is appealing for new players to secure its future.
Kirk Deighton Rangers’ Under-13s side is at risk of folding if it cannot recruit more players ahead of the new season.
The team, which welcomes players going into Year 8 this September, trains on Saturday mornings and plays matches on Sundays.
Parents say the boys are keen to keep the team going but numbers are currently too low to compete.
One parent said:
“We have some very sad 12-year-old boys so are trying to do everything we can to spread the word!”
Anyone interested in joining is encouraged to contact Dan Jones on 07958 006567 for more details.
