Your Harrogate named as headline sponsor for Stray Bonfire and Fireworks

Fireworks on the Stray, organised by Harrogate Roundtable.

Your Harrogate has been announced as the headline sponsor for this year’s Stray Bonfire and Fireworks display, organised by Harrogate Roundtable.

The much-loved community event returns to The Stray on Saturday 8th November for an evening of spectacular entertainment – all in support of Martin House Children’s Hospice.

The newly named ‘Your Harrogate Stray Bonfire and Fireworks’ event is one of the town's biggest and most anticipated nights of the year, offering a free evening of family fun while raising vital funds for a local charity.

Attendees are encouraged to give generously on the night, with donations covering the cost of the event and to support Martin House, which provides specialist care and support to children and young people with life-shortening conditions and their families.

Rebecca Taylor, Regional Fundraiser for Martin House, said:

“We are incredibly grateful for Harrogate Roundtable’s generous support at this year’s Your Harrogate Stray Bonfire and Fireworks event.

“It costs £10.5 million each year to run Martin House, enabling us to provide specialist, compassionate care to families of children with life-shortening conditions across West, North, and East Yorkshire — completely free of charge.”

She added:

“Events like this are more than just celebrations; they’re powerful moments where the community comes together to support families who are going through the most difficult times.

“While children and families are being cared for at Martin House, the joy and generosity of Bonfire Night helps create vital opportunities for memory-making — moments that families can treasure forever.

“The impact of this event will ripple far beyond the fireworks, helping us continue to support families when they need it most. We’re truly looking forward to being part of this special evening.”

The event will have an expanded food offering this year, with visitors given the choice of wood-fired pizzas, salt and chilli chicken and fresh donuts.

The Harrogate Scouts will also be supporting the event again this year.

Fraser Dunlop from Harrogate Roundtable said:

"Harrogate Round Table are absolutely delighted to once again host the Your Harrogate Stray Bonfire and Fireworks Display, a highlight in the town’s calendar that truly brings our community together.

“This is a free to attend event for everyone to enjoy – families, friends, neighbours, and visitors and we’re proud to be able to offer a safe, spectacular evening of entertainment at the heart of Harrogate.

“While entry is free, we encourage everyone to give generously, as every penny raised will go directly to Martin House, an incredible charity that provides vital care and support to children and families across our region.

“The Bonfire Night tradition is about warmth, light and togetherness and we feel this event captures that spirit perfectly. It’s a chance to celebrate our community, enjoy a memorable evening, and most importantly, support a cause that touches so many lives.”

Your Harrogate is proud to support this much-loved community celebration and to help raise awareness and funds for Martin House.

Your Harrogate Managing Director Adam Daniel said:

“We’re so proud to once again be part of this brilliant community tradition.

“The Stray Bonfire and Fireworks is one of those events that really captures what Harrogate is all about – people coming together to enjoy something special and to support a cause that truly matters.

“Martin House does incredible work for families across our region and it’s a privilege for Your Harrogate to help shine a light on the difference they make every single day.

“We can’t wait to see everyone on The Stray for what’s sure to be another unforgettable night.”

The Your Harrogate Stray Bonfire and Fireworks Display will take place on The Stray in Harrogate on 8th November, with entertainment starting from 5pm.

The bonfire will be lit at 6.30pm, with the fireworks starting from 7:15pm.

Entry is free for all, with on-site donation points available to support Martin House Children’s Hospice.
