Fans of The Yorkshire Vet had the chance to meet one of the programme's best-known faces when Julian Norton appeared at an event in Harrogate earlier this month.
Julian joined Yorkshire artist Lucy Pittaway at her Harrogate gallery on 7th December, where visitors were welcomed for an informal meet-and-greet.
Those attending were able to chat with Julian about his work on the popular Channel 5 series, as well as have books signed and browse artwork on display.
The appearance formed part of Lucy’s ongoing programme of meet-the-artist events and aired on Channel 5's 'The Yorkshire Vet at Christmas: The Gift of Giving' last night (Monday).
Julian and Lucy are long-standing friends and their connection is familiar to viewers of The Yorkshire Vet.
They previously appeared together on the programme, when Lucy introduced Julian to painting and created a piece inspired by his dog, Emmy.
The artwork, titled One Vet and His Dog, is now displayed at Julian’s veterinary practice and has proved popular with fans of both the show and Lucy’s work.
The painting also features on the cover of Julian’s latest book, The Yorkshire Vet, Back to Herriot Country, with prints from the collection available online and at Lucy’s galleries across the country, including Harrogate, Richmond, York, Yarm, Newcastle-upon-Tyne, Keswick and Bowness.
A spokesperson for Lucy Pittaway’s gallery said:
“We were delighted to be joined by special guest Julian Norton from TV’s The Yorkshire Vet, who was signing copies of his latest book, Back to Herriot Country, featuring Lucy’s artwork on the front cover.
“Thank you to everyone who stopped by — it was wonderful to meet you, and we look forward to hosting the next event!”
