An online training provider has collected £300 of food for Wetherby Food Bank.
The team at Training at Work have collected over 20 bags of shopping after an urgent plea was posted on social media.
They recognised the importance of supporting their local community and set up a collection drive with employees and others in their network to gather £300 worth of food.
Naomi Turner, the Managing Director for Training at Work said,
"We were deeply moved by the foodbank's urgent request and felt compelled to help.
"Our team is dedicated to making a positive impact in our community, and this was a perfect opportunity to come together and support those in need."
Employees brought in non-perishable food items, toiletries, and other essential supplies, quickly filling over 20 bags equating to 163kg worth of much-needed donations.
The Foodbank co-ordinator, Jenny said:
"A massive thank you to the Training At Work Group who heard that we were desperately low on stock and put together an amazing 163 kg which they delivered to our warehouse this afternoon.
"It's wonderful to see a local company actively responding to a local need."
She added:
"At a time when low-income households are struggling to afford the essentials, this will have a massive impact on those in our community."
The Wetherby Food Bank provides essential support to local families in need and recently reached out for help as their supplies were low.
