A popular venue between Harrogate and Ripon is hosting its own twist on Oktoberfest this weekend.
The Inn South Stainley’s ‘Inn-toberfest’ will be held today (Friday) and tomorrow, featuring German inspired beer and food.
The event will be held between 12pm and 8:30pm.
Oktoberfest is an annual beer festival in Munich in Germany, which originated in 1810 to celebrate the marriage of the crown prince of Bavaria.
Food at The Inn's event include Wiener Würstchen (a jumbo hotdog) and Schweineschnitzel (breaded pork schnitzel with saurkraut).
A spokesperson for the Inn South Stainley said:
“It's Oktoberfest season - or as we like to call it, INN-toberfest!
“This Friday and Saturday, we will be serving German inspired beer and food to celebrate!
“Join us for a German treat. Flat caps and German traditional dress optional!”
The Inn South Stainley is a country pub and bar with 12 bedrooms, located on the A61 between Ripon and Harrogate.
