A search for a beloved family dog that went missing near Harrogate has entered its third week.
The search continues for Mila, a chocolate brown Cocker Spaniel who went missing from South Stainley on Thursday 18th September.
Mila, who is described as very familiar with the surrounding area, has now been missing for over two weeks.
An update by K9 Search and Rescue on 4th October confirmed a possible - and “probable” - sighting of her in the Darley area.
Volunteers are assisting with the search, alongside local residents who have been asked to remain vigilant when out walking in rural areas.
A spokesperson for K9 Search and Rescue said:
“If you see her, please do not acknowledge or chase her as this may cause her to run and push her further away.
“Mila is very familiar with the surrounding area so it is strange that she hasn’t returned home.
“Please keep an eye out for her on your walks in case she has become stuck.”
Mila was last seen wearing a pink collar and is microchipped.
Anyone who spots her is urged to call 07753260917 or 07708382130 with the time, location and direction of travel.
