Northern Powergrid has started work to install electricity cables on Royal Parade in Harrogate.
The work began today (Monday 26th October) and is scheduled to continue until Thursday 5th November.
Engineers will excavate part of the carriageway to install and connect 11kV electricity cables.
The excavation will measure around three metres long, 2.5 metres wide and 1.4 metres deep.
Although the roadworks listing indicates a closure is in force throughout the works, the accompanying description states that the working area will be within the parking-bay section, rather than closing a traffic lane.
See the full list of planned roadworks in the Harrogate area via the North Yorkshire Council website here.
