Harrogate cocktail bar Over & Above has been shortlisted for two national hospitality awards.
The independent venue, hidden behind a bookcase entrance at 7 Cheltenham Crescent, is in the running for the Marketing Innovation Award and Best Venue Manager at the Bar Magazine Awards.
The ceremony will take place in London in January 2027, bringing together hospitality businesses from across the UK.

Other finalists include Hawksmoor, Flight Club, Greene King, Marston’s, The Alchemist and The American Bar at The Savoy.
Over & Above co-founder Rich Hamer said:
“We are absolutely thrilled to be nominated for not one, but two awards at the Bar Magazine Awards this year!
“To go from opening a bar in a small town to gaining national recognition in under 2 years is a real pinch-us moment and is testament to our incredible team who are all incredibly passionate at pushing Over & Above forward.
“We feel so proud to represent Harrogate on a national scale.”
Founded in March 2025, Over & Above serves cocktails, wines and beers with table service in a relaxed and inclusive setting.
Its cocktail menu focuses on signature creations and classic drinks with a twist.
The nominations follow a successful first year for the venue, which entered the UK Top 50 Cocktail Bars list in 38th place.
