Ripon Racecourse has won gold at this year's Yorkshire in Bloom awards.
The annual awards, which were held in Tadcaster, aim to recognise the very best horticultural achievements whilst looking at environmental responsibility and community participation.
Every summer, Yorkshire in Bloom judges visit gardens within towns and cities throughout the county.
And Ripon Racecourse, known as ‘Yorkshire’s Garden Racecourse,’ has won gold in this year's Yorkshire Rose Tourist Attractions category.
A spokesperson for Ripon Races said they were "delighted" to have been recognised.
They said:
“A huge thank you to our grounds team for the fantastic work they do to put the ‘Garden’ in Yorkshire’s Garden Racecourse.”
One visitor commented:
“Well done everybody, [the racecourse] always looks immaculate and so green. Congratulations.”
