Specsavers Ripon has been announced as the lead sponsor for this year’s Ripon Rowels Rotary Club Bonfire and Firework Display.
The event will take place on Friday 7th November at Ripon Racecourse and is expected to draw more than 3,000 visitors. Proceeds from the evening will go towards several local charities and community initiatives, including Vision Support, Ripon Theatre Festival, and St Michael’s Hospice. As part of its sponsorship, Specsavers Ripon has donated £1,000 to help fund the event. The opticians are also running a Halloween costume competition on 30th and 31st October, giving local children the chance to win a family ticket and the opportunity to light the bonfire. During the event, the Specsavers team will have a stand where visitors can find out more about eye care, have their glasses cleaned, and take part in a range of games and activities. Representatives from the Ripon Rowels Rotary Club said they were grateful for the support of Specsavers Ripon and other local businesses in helping to organise the annual community event. Specsavers Ripon said they were pleased to support an event that brings people together and raises funds for local causes. More information about the bonfire event is available at www.riponcitybonfire.org. Details about Specsavers Ripon’s eye and hearing care services can be found at www.specsavers.co.uk/stores/ripon or by calling 01765 694 777.
