Ripon pupils have earned national acclaim after playing a key role in a national TV broadcast from Ripon Cathedral.
The Ripon Grammar students, who serve as choristers and choral scholars in the cathedral choir, delivered what has been described by the BBC1 Easter Day Service programme's producer as a 'triumph in broadcasting'.
The live service, which is available on BBC iPlayer, showcased the choir's musical excellence to a nationwide audience, marking a significant moment for both the cathedral and the school.
14-year-old Francesca Kirkman also read a lesson during the service.
The high-profile broadcast follows a string of recent successes for the choir. Just weeks earlier, their performance featured on BBC Radio 3's Choral Evensong.
RGS Head of Music Michael Barker praised the students' dedication and professionalism:
"This was a phenomenal success and achievement. What a memory and experience for our music students in the choir, which sounded superb. Well done to all involved."
