Residents praise long-awaited resurfacing at Knaresborough bus station

Knaresborough's Bus Station has been resurfaced.

Residents in Knaresborough have welcomed the resurfacing of the town's bus station.

The works at Knaresborough Bus Station, located on the High Street, were carried out recently and included resurfacing the area used by buses and passengers.

Knaresborough Councillor Matt Walker said the upgrade followed sustained efforts to have the issue addressed.

He said:

“Another little win! After a lot of pestering, the bus station is resurfaced.

“Passengers should get a much smoother ride as their journeys start and stop.”

Local residents have also reacted positively to the improvements.

One said:

"It would be very nice for all roads to be as comfortable to ride and drive on."

Another added:

"It looks much better for visitors arriving!"

A third commented:

"Now for the rest of Knaresborough's roads to be fully resurfaced!"

The resurfacing work is expected to improve conditions for both public transport users and drivers passing through the busy town centre location.
