Visitors can experience RHS Garden Harlow Carr after dark with a spectacular light trail as 'Glow' makes a welcome return this winter.
Running on selected dates from 19th November to 23rd December, the event promises to transform the gardens into a spectacular winter wonderland, with thousands of lights illuminating trees, glasshouses and water features across the site.
Organised by the Royal Horticultural Society (RHS), the event will follow a newly reimagined figure-of-eight route for 2025, showcasing some of Harlow Carr’s most striking views. Visitors will be able to see the Thaliana Bridge, enjoy reflections over the Queen Mother’s Lake, and explore a host of new light installations.
Highlights for this year include ‘Octave’, an interactive light and sound experience, ‘Libellule’ – glowing dragonflies that create shimmering silhouettes – and ‘Snowballs’, a sparkling display adorning the trees.

Alongside the illuminations, guests can enjoy seasonal food and drink.
The Harrogate Arms Café will offer warming options such as Bratwurst and jacket potatoes, while Bettys Teahouse will serve festive treats, mulled wine and indulgent hot chocolate.
Visitors can also toast marshmallows over open fires and browse for Christmas gifts in the historic Bath House and the RHS Harlow Carr Garden Centre, which will feature handmade decorations and locally sourced products.
The RHS describes Glow as “an unforgettable Christmas experience” and says it provides the perfect setting for families, friends and loved ones to celebrate the season.
Tickets must be booked in advance, and early booking is advised to secure preferred dates and times.
Prices start from £10 for adult members and £5.25 for children, while non-member prices begin at £17.25 for adults and £9.25 for children. Admission is free for under-fives.
