Popular clothing shop and tailor moves to new Harrogate location

Rhodes Wood on Prince Albert Row in Harrogate.

A long-established luxury menswear and tailor in Harrogate has moved to a new location after almost three decades in its original home.

Rhodes Wood, known for its bespoke tailoring and classic menswear, has relocated from Parliament Street to a newly refurbished premises at 71 Station Parade, within the historic Prince Albert Row.

The move follows years of growth for the independent business, which has built a reputation both locally and internationally for its craftsmanship and attention to detail.

Founded by tailor Jeremy Wood Beaumont nearly 30 years ago, Rhodes Wood became a familiar part of Harrogate’s retail landscape.

Jeremy said:

“We’re very excited. We’ve traded in Harrogate for 28 years and to move to a bigger shop and have a whole floor just for tailoring and a downstairs, and to be next to England’s oldest linen shop… We’re very honoured.

“Albert Row is a strong road with businesses similar to ourselves.”

The shop also gained worldwide attention after a tailoring video posted on TikTok attracted millions of views, bringing visitors from across the globe to the store.

The new site offers more space for its collections of handmade shirts, tweeds, formalwear and country attire, while maintaining the shop’s signature style and commitment to quality.

Prince Albert Row, a Grade II listed Victorian building on Station Parade, is already home to several established names including Woods Fine Linens, Helen James florists, Bang & Olufsen and Poliform North.
