Police have launched an appeal after a man bought what he believed was an Apple watch via the internet, that turned out to be counterfeit.

Police have issued an image of a man they would they to speak to after the incident in Harrogate. It took place on Wednesday 3rd January 2024. Officers are asking members of the public to get in touch if they recognise the person in the image as they believe they will have information that will help the investigation. A police spokesperson said:
"Anyone with information that could assist the investigation is asked to email ben.robinson-brockhill@northyorkshire.police.uk or call 101, select option 2, and ask for PC Ben Robinson-Brockhill. "If you wish to remain anonymous, you can pass information to Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111."Please quote the North Yorkshire Police reference number 12240001566 when passing on information.
