Police are investigating a road rage incident that took place outside a Harrogate primary school.
At around 7pm on Wednesday 7th May, two drivers were involved in a low impact collision at the temporary traffic lights on Dragon Road in Harrogate.
The two male motorists, who were driving a blue BMW and a Renault transit van, had a “heated argument” before driving towards Grove Road Community Primary School to continue the altercation, due to the build-up of traffic.
A further discussion took place before the driver of the van, who was "concerned" by the behaviour of the BMW driver, tried to leave.
The BMW driver then reportedly blocked his door and grabbed him, pushing against his chest.
The van driver was able to free himself before leaving and the BMW driver left towards Skipton Road.
A police spokesperson said:
“Do you have any information which would assist North Yorkshire Police and help keep your community safe?
“Did you, or anyone living with you, hear or see anything around the time and location and date?
“Do you have any CCTV/Mobile phone footage capturing the offence, or anything happening before or after?
“If you can assist, please contact PC 371 at joanne.fawcett@northyorkshire.police.uk.”
