A man has been charged with two further offences as the investigation into the fatal hit and run collision in Pateley Bridge continues.
In December, police charged a 25-year-old man with driving a motor vehicle when over the prescribed limit and using a motor vehicle on a road/public place without insurance.
The same man has also been charged with failing to stop after a road traffic collision and failing to report a road traffic collision.
He is due to appear at court on the 12th February 2026.
The man also remains under investigation for the offence of causing death by dangerous driving.
A police spokesperson said:
"We ask that people avoid speculating on public forums or social media to avoid prejudicing court proceedings."
Officers continue to appeal for any information about the fatal collision which sadly claimed the life of 19-year-old Bailey Chadwick.
The incident happened in the early hours of Sunday 20th July 2025 on the B6265 at Lupton Bank between Glasshouses and Pateley Bridge.
