Oatlands Junior School in Harrogate has been presented with an award to recognise diversity and inclusivity efforts made by the school.
The school has received the Red Kite Alliance Red Award - an award that celebrates the school’s commitment to "nurturing a culture of mutual respect, championing equality and inclusion, and celebrating diversity."
The Red Kite Alliance Red Award has four strands which are made up of 18 key criteria.
These include school-wide engagement, actions to eliminate discrimination, actions to advance equality of opportunity and actions to foster good relations.
A spokesperson for the Red Kite Alliance said:
“The Red Kite Alliance RED Award has been developed to support schools to review, strengthen and celebrate their provision in terms of equality, diversity, respect for individuals and community cohesion.
“Well done to everyone at Oatlands Juniors!”
