North Yorkshire Police is set to host a free Cyber Clinic in Harrogate later this month.
It will be held at The Police Treatment Centre on Tuesday 29th October between 9:30am and 1pm.
The session will cover a range of topics, from the latest threats and vulnerabilities to practical steps you can take to safeguard your digital assets.
A police spokesperson said:
“Come and join us for a series of short informative talks from cyber security professionals to learn all about the Police led cyber security products and services that you can access for free to protect your business from cyber crime.
“You'll have the opportunity to ask questions, share experiences, and network with other business owners who are equally committed to enhancing their cyber defences.”
The spokesperson added:
“Whether you're a small start-up or an established enterprise, these talks are designed to provide you with the knowledge and tools necessary to stay one step ahead of cyber criminals.
“This event is suitable for anyone including SMEs, businesses, charities, organisations, academia, and non-profit organisations who are looking to enhance their knowledge, awareness and skills in the ever-evolving world of cyber security.
“So, please don't miss out on this invaluable chance to fortify your business against the ever-evolving landscape of cyber threats.”
There will be short informative talks from key-note speakers from members of the Yorkshire & Humber Regional Cyber Crime Unit, the Police Cyber Alarm and the North East Business Resilience Centre, plus an opportunity to participate in the Cyber Escape Room challenge.
Officers will also be demonstrating their Cyber Blue Line vehicle, which is another free community engagement tool used by the Yorkshire & Humber Regional Cyber Crime Unit.
It’s a fully mobile and digitally equipped resource that enables Cyber Prevent & Protect messaging to be disseminated to a wide and varied audience in an immersive, engaging, and interactive way.
All Police Cyber Clinics are completely free to attend.
