Lightwater Valley has unveiled a new traditional sweet shop as part of ongoing improvements across the park.
The attraction, named 'Pat & Tracey's Sweet Shop', is one of the latest additions as Mellors Group continues to refresh some of the existing spaces alongside new rides and attractions.
The new shop is filled with barrels of traditional pick 'n' mix sweets and classic confectionery.
The idea was brought to life by James William, with the shop named in honour of two former dinner ladies who made a lasting impression on him during his time at Nottingham High School.
Announcing the addition, a spokesperson for Lightwater Valley said:
"At Lightwater, as well as adding new rides and attractions, we're also bringing new life to some of our favourite spaces around the park.
"Named 'Pat & Tracey's Sweet Shop', the charming new shop pays tribute to two much-loved dinner ladies who left a lasting impression on James [Mellors] during his school years at Nottingham High School."
Alongside the sweet shop, visitors can also enjoy 'Crazy Shakes' – a new food and drink outlet serving Bronut milkshakes and a selection of ice creams.
The attraction is a tribute to one of James Mellors' earliest rides, with the original Crazy Shake given a new purpose as part of the park's redevelopment.
The spokesperson added:
"Because no day at the park is complete without a sweet treat or two!"
