Award-winning Newby Hall and Gardens is launching its 2025 season with a special Mother’s Day event in its Grade II listed Orangery.
The stately home will open to the public on Saturday 29th March followed by its Mother’s Day afternoon tea on Sunday 30th March.
Visitors will be treated to a stroll around its stunning gardens followed by scrumptious sandwiches and scones.
Newby’s 2025 season is packed with a host of events which run as the house, gardens and exhibitions welcome back visitors, promising a full day out.
It’s adventure playground, miniature railway and boat trips are a big draw among families.

Other attractions include Newby’s ever popular sculpture trail, returning for its 19th year.
The trail takes visitors on a journey through the woodlands, orchard and along the River Ure, showcasing a diverse collection of contemporary sculptures.
Newby’s calendar of events includes children’s theatre performances, while Easter weekend (18th to 21st April) is dedicated to a “magical kingdom” adventure trail where families can enjoy a journey through the woodland and meet the king and queen of the fairies.
Stuart Gill, commercial director at Newby Hall, said:
“We have curated a busy season of events as we welcome visitors to all that Newby has to offer within the house, gardens and other attractions.
“Come rain or shine, Newby delivers a fantastic day out set in stunning North Yorkshire parkland – it will not disappoint!”
Another 19th anniversary will be marked when Tractor Fest rolls up at Newby on 7th and 8th June.
The UK’s largest tractor festival attracts over 1,600 exhibits as well as in excess of 12,000 visitors.
This year’s highlights include two celebrations – 100 years of the American Caterpillar brand and 80 years of the Fordson E27N tractor.
Other vehicle themed events include Sports Cars in the Park on 4th May and the Historic Vehicle Rally on 20th July.

Returning on 27th July is the Aldborough & Boroughbridge Show, a favourite in North Yorkshire’s rural shows calendar.
A month later, the fireworks championships will be held on 23rd August when the skies will light up over Newby as friends and families enjoy picnics in the park.
Closing the curtain on Newby’s 2025 season will be the World Jam Festival and Awards along with apple day and the apple throwing championships on 28th September when contenders seek to throw an apple the furthest across the River Ure to win the prestigious title and trophy.
