A Knaresborough lingerie boutique is set to hold a live event this weekend, aimed at promoting body confidence and awareness around bra fitting.
Sheer Bliss Lingerie will feature live models in its shop window on Saturday (25th October) between 12pm and 1pm.
The models will also be appearing inside the shop from 11am to 3pm, showcasing lingerie and swimwear.
Owner Jayne Winn said the aim is to help women feel more comfortable in their own bodies and to highlight the benefits of wearing a correctly fitted bra for both posture and self-confidence.
She told Your Harrogate:
“So many ladies are still wearing the wrong size bras - in fact, stats show 80% of women don’t know their correct bra size.
“As well as promoting expert bra fitting advice, we’re also supporting the idea of ‘AWWA’ - Accepting Who We Are - especially in midlife when menopause and body changes can affect confidence.
“We want everyone, no matter their size or shape, to accept their body as it is and have the confidence to do that.”
She added that the event is designed to encourage body positivity and spark conversation about self-acceptance at all stages of life.
