Lightwater Valley has revealed a first glimpse of a brand new rollercoaster taking shape at the park.
The Ripon theme park shared images on social media showing track and supports now in place, giving visitors an early look at what’s to come ahead of the upcoming season.
While full details about the ride - including its name, theme and opening date - are yet to be confirmed, the photos suggest work is well underway.
The development marks another step in the park’s ongoing investment plans under new owners Mellors Group.
While the park’s focus will continue to cater for younger families and guests under 12, Mellors Group said it will broaden the appeal for all ages, creating an experience that the "whole family can enjoy together."
James Mellors from new owners Mellors Group said:
"While Lightwater Valley will continue to be a haven for younger families, we’re also widening the experience so that guests of all ages can enjoy the thrills, charm, and adventure together.
"The team here have done a brilliant job, and we’re looking forward to working closely with them as we begin this new journey.”
Lightwater Valley Family Adventure Park will reopen to visitors for a new season on Saturday 28th March.
