Knaresborough Young Farmers have donated £1,750 to two local charities after collecting unwanted Christmas trees.
The group amassed more than 950 trees in January for a charge of just £5 per tree.
They collected trees from Harrogate, Pannal, Starbeck, Knaresborough and the surrounding villages.
And the young farmers were able to raise £1,751 each for both St Michael’s Hospice and British Heart Foundation.

A spokesperson for St Michael’s said:
“A huge thank you to the amazing Knaresborough Young Farmers for raising an incredible £1,750 through their Christmas tree collection this January!
“We’re so grateful for your continued support.”
