A Knaresborough school is offering all-day parking for this year’s Great Knaresborough Bed Race.
King James’s School will allow visitors to park at the school from 8am on Saturday 14th June at a charge of £5.
All proceeds will be donated to MacMillan Cancer Support.
There will be staff in High Vis during the morning to assist and both card or cash payments will be accepted.
The gates and bollards will remain open until 7pm and then the site will be locked.
Knaresborough Lions, who organise the event, will also be offering a park and ride service from Manse Lane between 10am-6pm.

Volunteering at Bed Race
Can you support this year’s Great Knaresborough Bed Race?
Organisers Knaresborough Lions have launched an appeal for volunteers to help with marshalling and timing of the race.
All volunteers will get full training and support and will be needed from 10am until 5pm.
A spokesperson for Knaresborough Together said:
“The Knaresborough Lions run the annual bed race every year and we rely on the support from volunteers to enable this to happen.
“We have a dedicated group of volunteers who help run the event but we are looking for more helping hands.
“The race is a great family day out that supports groups to fundraise for their chosen charity.”
