Knaresborough's Town Ranger team has been busy across the town centre as they continue to clear fallen leaves and keep public spaces safe.
With autumn bringing heavier leaf fall to key pedestrian areas, the rangers have been focusing on steps, pathways and high-footfall routes used daily by residents, shoppers and visitors.
Their work includes sweeping, raking and removing built-up debris that can create slip hazards, particularly in damp weather.
A spokesperson for Knaresborough Town Council said:
“Our Town Ranger team have been hard at work clearing fallen leaves around town – raking and sweeping to make sure steps and pathways are safe and tidy.
“A big thank you to our Town Ranger team for helping keep our community looking its best.”
The service, delivered on behalf of Knaresborough Town Council, plays an important role in maintaining the look and safety of the town’s streets.

Recent efforts have been concentrated around central routes in the run-up to seasonal events and busier weekends, with the council noting that the team’s work forms part of ongoing improvements within the town centre.
Residents have welcomed the visible presence of the rangers in recent weeks, with many acknowledging the difference regular maintenance makes during the autumn months.
The Town Council says it will continue monitoring priority areas as leaf fall increases, aiming to keep the town clean, accessible and welcoming for everyone.
