Knaresborough has been ranked among the ten most beautiful places in the UK.
That’s according to a new nationwide list compiled by international travel website Enjoy Travel.
Knaresborough placed 10th in the 2026 rankings, putting it alongside some of the country’s best-known landscapes including the Lake District and Scotland’s Isle of Skye.
The annual list was made using reader recommendations, editorial research and input from travel photographers.
It assessed each location for its landscape, historic character and overall visitor experience.
The top 10 most beautiful places in the UK for 2026, according to Enjoy Travel, are:
- Queen’s View
- Lake District
- Forest of Dean
- Fairy Pools
- Rathlin Island
- Berwyn Mountains
- Heights of Abraham
- Holkham Beach
- Eilean Donan Castle
- Knaresborough
Speaking about Knaresborough, experts at Enjoy Travel said:
“Hire a boat to row down the willow-lined river, admiring the arched viaducts above, or visit Mother Shipton’s Cave, England’s oldest tourist attraction.
“Markets are also held in the town centre every Wednesday, and this is a great opportunity to support local sellers and businesses by purchasing their wares at the market.”
