Grantley Hall in Ripon has been named the best place to stay in the North and Northeast.
That's according to The Times and The Sunday Times, which have published their '50 Best Places to Stay' in the UK 2026 list.
The luxury hotel secured the regional title as part of the annual guide, which highlights 50 standout hotels across the UK chosen by travel experts.
The list aims to recognise places offering exceptional stays, from boutique hotels to country houses and coastal retreats.
Grantley Hall, located just outside Ripon, was praised in the guide as the top choice in the North and Northeast category.
A spokesperson for Grantley Hall said:
"This recognition reflects the passion, dedication and attention to detail shown by our exceptional team, who create the warm and welcoming experience our guests enjoy every day in the heart of North Yorkshire.
"A heartfelt thank you to our fantastic team and valued guests who make Grantley Hall such a special place."
The Times and The Sunday Times Best Places to Stay list is compiled each year using feedback from experienced reviewers who visit hotels across the UK, assessing factors including hospitality, style, value and overall guest experience.
