Former England manager Gareth Southgate was spotted enjoying a quiet drink at a popular Harrogate pub this week.
Gareth, who lives just outside near Timble and Swinsty Reservoir, visited Harrogate Brewing Co on Royal Parade.
A spokesperson for the pub, which replaced The Old Bell last year, said:
“Good to see Gareth Southgate popping in for a pint of Harlow Blonde.”
Gareth is one of the most recognisable figures in English football after a long playing and managerial career.
As a player, he made more than 500 club appearances, most notably for Crystal Palace, Aston Villa and Middlesbrough, and earned 57 caps for England.
Following his playing career, he moved into management and took charge of Middlesbrough between 2006 and 2009.
He later managed England’s Under-21 side before being appointed England manager in 2016.
During his time in charge of the national team, Gareth led England to the semi-finals of the 2018 FIFA World Cup and to the finals of UEFA Euro 2020 and UEFA Euro 2024.
