An annual ‘Hopewalk’ event is returning to Valley Gardens this weekend.
The event is held to support the charity Papyrus and to promote the prevention of suicide in young children.
It was started in memory of 17-year-old Dom Sowa - a Harrogate Grammar pupil who took his own life in 2017.
The walk will start at Valley Gardens at 10am on Sunday (20th October).
Participants will meet at the entrance before walking through the Pinewoods and back again.
The event is open to all and is being backed by Harrogate Grammar School (HGS).
A spokesperson said:
“This is a charity close to the heart of Harrogate Grammar School but we would love to be joined by as much of our local community as possible.”
The annual Hopewalk is often attended by Harrogate Grammar pupils.
