A Harrogate man is set for another whacky world marathon attempt when he takes on the London Marathon next weekend.
Jérémie Maillard will be on the start line on Sunday 26th April as he attempts to become the fastest person to complete a marathon dressed as a monarch, after his costume was officially approved.
The father-of-three, who will be running his sixth London Marathon, is already a world record holder.
Jérémie was named the fastest male to be dressed as a mythical creature to complete the 26.2-mile race in 2022, recording a time of three hours and 26 minutes dressed as a unicorn.
He'll also need to beat that time, three hours and 26 minutes, to set a new world record for the fastest monarch.

Jérémie has long supported Alzheimer’s Research UK in memory of his father, who died from Alzheimer’s disease in 2017.
This year’s effort also reflects a more recent personal development, following his mother’s diagnosis with advanced digestive system cancer.
Any money he raises will be shared equally between Alzheimer’s Research UK and Yorkshire Cancer Research.
Speaking about his previous challenge, Jérémie told Your Harrogate:
"It's a claim to fame! People keep reminding me of the unicorn which is amazing.
"Running with the mask for the entire race was hard work but overall it was such a good atmosphere and it was very enjoyable."
Ahead of this year's marathon, he said:
"King George is the outfit I’ve sourced with the medieval theme, and a crown as well.
“I like running but I also like to raise money and awareness for charities too, and these causes are close to my heart.”
Following the marathon, Jérémie is also planning a second endurance challenge later in the year - a 100km race in France - as part of the same campaign.
