Harrogate workshop to support recruitment in the care sector A new series of workshops are set to take place across Yorkshire to help tackle increasing recruitment problems within the care sector. Organised by new charity The Yorkshire Care Alliance, which was launched in Scarborough last week, the workshop will be heading to Harrogate next week. It will be held at Pavillions of Harrogate on Tuesday 26th September from 10am to 11:30am. CEO Nick Swash said:
“There are so many challenges facing not only care companies, but unpaid carers and the whole industry. “No one organisation exists to take on these challenges and look for solutions. “We have set up The Yorkshire Care Alliance to fill this void and bring together people from across the whole sector to help address the problems. “It is all about working together, positivity and finding solutions together. “This is why we launched with six free sessions across the region, each covering different topics such as CQC inspections, insurance and recruitment.”Facilitated by Nick Bramley from Impactus Group, the workshop in Harrogate will focus on the challenges care companies face both recruiting and retaining staff. Nick said:
“This session aims to be a highly engaging, thought-provoking morning challenging the norm around workforce recruitment, development and retention, encouraging new ideas using critical (even radical) thinking and the principle of marginal gains. “From care professionals to unpaid carers, to suppliers to the care industry – it is open to you all and we need you there. “At the Yorkshire Care Alliance, we intend to shake up the care sector, break out-dated models and bring new thinking to solve old problems. “With staff being both your biggest asset and potentially your biggest challenge, these Masterclasses will give you fresh ideas and fresh energy and you could even say ‘I was there at the start of something special’.”For more details and to register to join the session, email Claire.Bunker@yorkshirecarealliance.co.uk.
