A SENCO teacher in Harrogate has been shortlisted at the annual Mumbler Awards for her amazing work with children.
Kim Stanfield, who works at Playaway Day Nursery, has been named as one of five finalists in the Mumblers’ Favourite SEND Provider category.
She is the Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) Co-ordinator and has been for almost 10 years.
And the category at the Mumbler Awards, which is new for 2024, will see Kim go up against Børn of the Forest, Painting Pots, Stump Cross Caverns, The SEND Dance Academy and This Is Me Festival.
The Mumbler Awards will be chosen by a public vote, which closes at 12pm on Tuesday 15th October.

Kim received a special treat last month after she was nominated by Lyndsey, a parent of a child that Kim works with, during Afternoon Tea Week.
As a special ‘thank you’ for her efforts, Your Harrogate’s Pete Egerton delivered takeaway afternoon tea from Mama Doreen's, chocked full of sweet treats.
The nomination read:
“Kim has helped me and my little boy in his SEND journey from the start - and she’s still helping now.
“From the big things to the little things, she's always there for us in person and on the phone no matter what time.
“As a SEND mum she has been my rock!”
A shocked Kim said:
“Thank you very much [for the nomination] to whoever it may be!
“As long as the kids enjoy their day, we enjoy our day.”
